The bass Askar Abdrazakov has been awarded numerous prizes including:
- Glinka Competition in 1991
- First prize in the Pretoria International Singing Competition in 1994
- First prize in the prestigious Chaliapin
Bass Competition in Kazan in 1994, which was followed by numerous concerts
in Moscow
- He was awarded the Grand prix in the Callas Competition in Athens in 1995.
